Plant Biotechnology Persa (PBP) is an open-access peer-reviewed biannual international journal published by the Ilam University of Medical Sciences, Iran, devoted to the fields of medicinal plants, biotechnology, and toxicology. The journal focuses on the research, teaching, and application of medicinal plants for the treatment of diseases and all fields of biotechnology and toxicology. Plant Biotechnology Persa (PBP) is the intersection between medicinal plants, biotechnologyand toxicology. This international journal publishes manuscripts in the fields of medicinal plants and biotechnology. This journal aims to reach all relevant national and international medical institutions and persons in the electronic version free of charge.
 

Aims and Scope:

The journal of Plant Biotechnology Persa (PBP) is an online peer-reviewed international journal that aims to promote all fields of medicinal plants such as herbal drugs, bioactive compounds, green chemistry, phytomedicine, phytochemistry, ethno-botany, ethno-pharmacology, ethno-medicine, phyto-pharmacology, pharmacognosy, clinical, pharmacological, pharmacokinetic, and toxicological studies of specified herbal medicinal products, herbal preparations, plant physiology, toxicology, and purified compounds as well as all aspects of biotechnology. The effects of herbs in the treatment of diseases in animal models are also within the aims and scope of the journal.
 

Article Processing Charge:

No article processing charge (APC) is required to publish in the journal of  Plant Biotechnology Persa (PBP).

Plant Biotechnology Persa follows the policies and guidelines of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE), the World Association of Medical Editors (WAME), and the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

Peer-review process
All submitted articles are evaluated at the submission to meet the structural and subject principles of Plant Biotechnology Persa. The matched articles will gone under a double-blinded peer-review process by at least 3 reviewers (expert in the field who are not part of the journal’s editorial staff) who are selected by the Editorial Board members according to their field specialties. The Editorial Board members have the final responsibility to select the articles.
 
Governing body
Plant Biotechnology Persa is under the scientific control of Editorial Board whose members are recognized experts in the subject areas included within the journal’s scope. Some executive roles of the Editorial Board members are delegated to the Editor-in-Chief who is well-known in the journal’s scope.
 
Editorial team
Plant Biotechnology Persa is under the scientific supervision of the Editorial Team whose members are all experts with high number of publications in their field.
 
Author fees/Access
There are No Fees or Charges at all for submission, reviewing and publishing processes in Plant Biotechnology Persa.
Plant Biotechnology Persa follows the Bethesda Statement on Open Access Publishing.

Process for identification of and dealing with allegations of research misconduct
Publisher and editors of Plant Biotechnology Persa are reasonable to identify and prevent the publication of papers where research misconduct has occurred, including plagiarism, citation manipulation, and data falsification/fabrication, among others. In doing so, Plant Biotechnology Persa follows COPE’s guidelines in dealing with allegations.

Plant Biotechnology Persa is owned by ISCDBU, Iran, and is managed and published by YektaPub Co.
 
Conflicts of interests
All Plant Biotechnology Persa Editorial Board members and the Editor-in-Chief submitted articles are gone under the same reviewing process as the other authors gone. In the cases that a reviewer suspects undisclosed conflict of interest in a submitted manuscript or a reader suspects undisclosed conflict of interest in a published article (all authors are filling the ICMJE Form for Disclosure of Potential Conflicts of Interest at the submission time) Plant Biotechnology Persa will follow COPE’s guidelines.
 
Revenue sources/Advertising/Direct marketing
Plant Biotechnology Persa is financially supported completely by ISCDBU, Iran, and has no other sources for earning funds. Plant Biotechnology Persa accepts No advertisements in the site or even as a report article.
 
Publishing schedule/Archiving
Plant Biotechnology Persa is published 2 issues per year. All the content from the beginning to the end will be available for ever on Plant Biotechnology Persa exclusive website. Also Plant Biotechnology Persa is included at EBSCOhost and has the plan to enter to Scopus and Thomson-Reuters databases.
